The Blessing of the Tithe
Today's Scripture
“Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10 AMP).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
God longs to pour out His abundant blessing on your life. He wants to open the windows of heaven for you. When you are faithful in your tithes, when you faithfully give ten percent to the house of God, He promises that your house will be provided for. Every time you give your tithe, you are making a declaration that you trust God. When you give, you are putting actions behind your faith that keep your faith alive. The Bible promises that when you give, it shall be given back to you. Like planting a seed, you can expect an abundant harvest. Remember, the scripture tells us that as believers, the tithe already belongs to the Lord and it is holy, or set apart, for Him. Don’t let what belongs to God go to Starbucks! Bring the whole tithe into God’s house and see what He will do! He’ll stand against the enemy on your behalf, and He’ll bless you in ways you’ve never dreamed! He’ll open the windows of heaven and pour out His abundance on every area of your life!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for Your promise to bless me in every area of my life. I choose to follow Your Word and put action to my faith. Bless me as I honor You with my life and resources. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I have been led to believe that the tithe to the church is not a NT principle. Have you heard anything like that?

Never heard that but I'm not an authority. I'm sure the Catholic Church still passes around the collection plate.

Free will offerings in the collection plate are not the same thing as tithes which are taught to be an obligation.
