One of the great hymns of Christendom, unlike the The Whippoorwill Song.Agreed. But the argument at this point is not the worship of freedom of will (as proclaimed in the Whippoorwill song), but in the meaning and inspiration of the Song of Solomon (and other Love Songs to Jesus).
(BTW, Newton was a Calvinist)
So was Edwards and Spurgeon and Watts.
