Well lets see Paul addressed his letters to the Saints at such and such and this was before the RCC. OT saints were and are Saints with out the RCC. What makes a person a saint?

There are lots of saints the church hasn't officially recognized, as such. You seem to be hung up on the fact that the Church recognizes certain people for what they are.
