Cardinal Egan compares abortion to crimes of Hitler, Stalin (Wake up America!!)
Catholic Culture ^ | October 27, 2008

‘It is high time to stop pretending that we do not know what this nation of ours is allowing-- and approving-- with the killing each year of more than 1,600,000 innocent human beings within their mothers,’ Cardinal Edward Egan of New York wrote in an Oct. 23 archdiocesan newspaper column defending the humanity of the unborn child. ‘One day, please God, when the stranglehold on public opinion in the United States has been released by the extremists for whom abortion is the center of their political and moral life, our nation will, in my judgment, look back on what we have been doing to innocent human beings within their mothers as a crime no less heinous than what was approved by the Supreme Court in the Dred Scott Case in the 19th century, and no less heinous than what was perpetrated by Hitler and Stalin in the 20th.’

That’s awesome. I thought he looked like a pretty good guy when the Pope was in NY, but people seem to bash him a lot. That’s a darned good statement, and so very true.

Hitler was a piker compared to the murder we’ve watched over the past 35 years.

May God have mercy on us all...

“May God have mercy on us”.

His Divine Mercy is what keeps us from annhilalation.

But at times He still lets us know that “God is not mocked”.

Lets pray for His Mercy!

His argument is exactly correct. Why don’t bishops then use discipline to teach what the Church says on baby butchery? The lack of names being named as confirmed excommunicated for their approval/support of baby butchery and their public lies that this support is cool with Church teaching is a disgrace. It will be looked back at as far, far worse than the homosexualist priest scandal.

I'm awake!!!

Yesterday our parish held our Fall Festival. I worked the chicken dinner and there were plenty of people who were angry about Obama and his radical stance on abortion.

I think its finally sinking in with some of these "cafeteria catholics".

I sure have been saying plenty of rosaries.

You know what is really making me happy?

When it comes right down to it, how do you not live your faith?! How does politics or the checkbook Trump faith and the will of God?

I still have a few neighbors that are catholic but are supporting nobama. I don't get it. I challenged one of these catholic neighbors on mine in regards to his stance, and he jumped all over me saying the church has no business in interfering with elections.

This is classic of those putting politics ahead of faith. Yet they have no qualms about lining up for the Eucharist on Sunday?!

Just Cardinal Egan asking people to look at the photograph of a 20 week old infant.

Not like the ones from other posts. This is very proper (and not bloody.)

You know the Church doesn't interfere, it just preaches the Truth, and those who hear It hear God and those who reject It reject God.

God can't be compartmentalized, I think these folks have a false understanding of the separation of church and state, as if God can be blocked out of some aspect of our lives; like the need we have to have our consciences informed in order to make morally fit decisions.
