I have a little story you might like. All through October I was praying a lot for McCain/Palin to win. On Friday evening October 24th (Feast of Saint Anthony Mary Claret and Blessed Luigi Guanella) we went to Adoration, Benediction, and Mass. During mass and adoration we prayed for McCain/Palin. After mass I stayed to make a thanksgiving and then sang the Litany of the Saints asking for a McCain victory. When we got to the "save Your people" responses I heard a voice. The voice said "No, they (McCain/Palin) will not win the election. . . . However, (the voice continued), prior to Ash Wednesday there will be a day of tremendous joy. In appreciation for this day of joy, we must make a very austere Lent."
The day of tremendous joy and the very severe lent were emphasized.
That’s very interesting.
