This was a news article for the general public. Every service, regardless of its specific name, is a “worship service,” and that term is typically used amidst all types of Christians. Had they used “Evensong” or “Compline” (what time is it?) in this news report, any non-liturgical Christian, or unchurched person, would have been totally confused, unfortunately.

I bet the bulletin will give the worship service its proper, specific title however.

LOL. Just like “praise song” is a term typically used amidst all types of Christians who might be totally confused by the term “hymn”.
