Because at the root of all of this, it is NOT a 'civil rights' issue. It is a FREEDOM OF RELIGION issue. Think about it. If the states/federal government passes a law/s that 'gives' homosexuals 'equal rights' including the right to marry, what happens to those religions that find homosexuality is a sin and against God's laws? They would be required BY LAW to go against their own values, morals and ethics. For example, if a Catholic church with true Bible-believing principles was asked by a gay 'couple' to perform a Bible-based wedding ceremony in their church, and the priest or whoever is in charge denied them based on their religious principles, what would happen to that priest and that church?

They’d get sued and lose, which is why we need to stop this quickly because Obama will give civil rights to gays.

I agree with you. This is going to get ugly.
