"I do wonder, though, why you saw fit to bring these two verses up."

You so quickly challenged my faith and so quickly defended yours. Is it possible to have so little faith that one chooses to not test it for fear it will not stand? Have faith, the Word of God will stand up to the most intense challenges.

Hmmm....I guess I could say the same to you. My faith is strong and testing it by others only strengthens it. If your faith is strong, it should stand being tested by others, and you should defend it. That is the object in debating and defending the faith one has. The danger lies in the perceived holes in ones faith, and in the way one tries to defend it. If one is not willing to have his/her faith examined then one should not post it in these open forums - for it will be examined and challenged.

None of us are 100% able, in this form of communication and in short spurts, to defend what one believes because what one says can easily be misconstrued by another. One should also remember that one never really learns anything from those with whom he is in agreement with - to learn something one must learn from those with whom he disagrees with.

I, really, don't see that you have actually tested my faith. Nor have I actually tested your faith. It may be that our perspectives are misconstrued by each other :-)

I never intended to test yout faith. I am encouraging you to test your faith, though.
