How can he sees the error of his ways and repents, unless his own policies and their results be brought direct into his own life?
I'm not happy about ill befalling another person, or family, but let's remember how education is done. Nothing is more educational than a significant emotional event. And nothing drives us closer to God than the same.
Now let's get started:
We must pray that every policy, law, and executivce order that Mister Obama puts forth, be brought into his family, for the edification of others, as well as Obama.
If he supports homosexuals, them may he and his family be given a reprobate mind to learn the evil of their actions.
If he supports abortion, then may his daughters experience it personally.
If he supports illegal immagration, then may his family experience the pain caused by not upholding the laws against these illegials.
If he supports gun control, then may he and his immediate family experince a need to protect himself or them with a gun, when there is no gun available to protect him.
Do I make my point clear?
I'm not comfortable myself with imprecatory prayer. It's a lot like handling a live grenade. Others can do it if they wish, but personally I don't think that I want to do it, at least right now in this instance.
It's partly personal experience. I went through the usual college-age experiences with humanism and atheism and was persuaded with logic and reasoning to turn away from those. Same on the abortion issue. No ill befell me. It was simply a sincere change of heart. Maybe Obama will have a similar experience.
