1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

2Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

16Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

I believe America is heading into a great storm and is even in it now. That cloud looms over the White House. If Barack continues the path he is on, it will be very destructive for America. If he changes, then the picture (for America) will also change.

What about "they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation"?

Where God commands respect for the family, as it reflects and perpetuates his image in our nature,
Obama champions its destruction, and calls it tolerance.
In his rhetoric Obama uses the name of God,
but in his views and politics he stubbornly denies, disregards and rejects God's authority.
So I pray for him,
that someday he will have the ears to hear the commandment
that is also a warning:
Thou Shalt not take the Name of the Lord Thy God in vain.
… this people draw near me with their mouth,
and with their lips do honor me,
but have removed their heart far from me,
and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.
– Isaiah 29:13

This people honors me with their lips,

teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

I do not agree with Obama. I think it is a detestable thing he is in the White House and will never pray prayers that support his moral and economic agendas unless his heart were to dramatically change. But, I do pray for that change.

Study Revival and Spiritual Awakening. There were times in the 1700s when they would burn Bibles and persecute Christians at universities in America. God changed hearts and revival and spiritual awakening occurred. I’m not saying God will do that here. America may be getting what she has asked for. But, I don’t know that for sure and so I am asking for God to change his heart. Period.

To turn around and say that we should pray for an impostor who has illegitimately seized control of authority in our country and then to further pray that he be successful in turning our economy upside down with socialist poison which will do nothing but turn us into a third world country which he will only be able to control by rescinding all of our civil liberties, especially our “citizen's veto” (the 2nd Amendment) and you are asking me to pray for this man. No. God Damn this man. If that makes me sound like Rev. Wright, fine. As a man from my neck of the woods said many years ago when Christians were men around here, “If this be treason, then make the most of it.” I will not sit here and idly let these impostors and perverts destroy the country our ancestors suffered so to create.

David prayed from raw emotion. Jesus calls us to a higher prayer life. We aren't praying out of emotion but out of obedience.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for ALL MEN; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
