Card. Castrillon: Bp. Fellay recognized Vatican II CATEGORY: SESSIUNCULA Fr. John Zuhlsdorf @ 4:41 pm
The johnny-on-the-spot site Rorate has two good pieces you would do well to look at.
First, there is an entry called Cardinal Castrillón: Relevant declarations to Corriere della Sera Also check Corriere.
Here is a salient point or two:
The Holy See did not know about SSPX Bp. Williamsons interview with a Swedish TV station in which he spoke about the Holocaust.

We'll see....and we'll hope....
But will he apply it practically? There is a deeply embedded antipathy towards the Jewish people. Will they adhere to Nostra Aetate or is this just lip service? And what will they do with those priests who deny the holocaust? How will the sspx reverse the preachings of those deniers?
This is a particularly sensitive issue to me, as my wife's a Jewish convert: and we are no strangers to idiotic anti-Semitism in the traditionalist venues we frequent.
However, a priest's historical views are his own...and m not sure what can be done about that. About the most that can be done is his superior telling him to keep his fat mouth shut, like Fellay did with Williamson.
No such thing as historical heresy.
Oh, I didn’t know you were married to a Jewish convert. Forgive me for my bad memory, but did I meet her the last time I was at Mater Ecclesiae?
Perhaps he should meet with the priest who is authoring this book.
Thanks so much for the reference to the book. My wife's family was from Tarnopol in the Ukraine....some of them may well have been among the victims who are still lying under the fields.
I don’t remember her there when we were talking, but my memory isn’t much to write home about either! ;)
