The point is...people will be trying to get back out when the whole thing goes flop.
The thing that keeps them coming is opportunity.
Where are they going to go? If we destroy this country, which is more than a nation state, we eliminate the last best hope for Man. The entire globe will descend again into the darkness without the benevolent superpower that defended the weak, the powerless, the oppressed and those yearning to be free.
