God did not remove all evidence of the BOM, he just hid it real good...
LOL. I have actually heard that argument from an LDS friend of mine.

Ive always wondered how/why the BOM was translated out of Reformed Egyptian into King James English .... you would think it would have been written down in 1820s English/American idiom ...
++++
Have you wondered about it enough to look up some of the writings as to why that might be,
or do you just keep wondering about it so you can use the question to direct the readers thoughts?

Tennessee Nana—your accusations about the eyewitnesses to the Book of Mormon are false. They did not “all” apostatize and they did not change their stories. Several of the witnesses did later leave the LDS Church; however, not one of the witnesses ever recanted their testimonies—and even those who remained outside the Church remained true to their testimonies until they died. That actually increases their credibility as witnesses.
Also, their testimonies demonstrate that they actually saw the plates themselves. The eight witnesses stated that they actually handled the leaves of the plates (which had the appearance of gold) and that they saw the engravings on the plates. The three witnesses were shown the plates by an angel and they also reported actually seeing the engravings on the plates. They did not simply see a cloth covering a lump. Your accusation that Joseph Smith told them they were unworthy to actually see the plates is contradicted by their witness statements.

The Smithsonian Institution has never used the Book of Mormon in any way as a scientific guide. We need a LAWYER to sort out all these statements accurately!

If I want to put my trust in the arm of flesh...O... K...
17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the otherThis is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother, I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.

Neither does the secular world view evidences the same as the faithful. The 'faithful' also requires NO 'evidence' and will exclude evidence that goes against their 'belief'.

Why hasn't the Book of Mormon editors (and it's been edited thousands of times, mostly for grammar clean-up) placed "Book of Mormon maps" in the back -- like many Bibles do? They have no copyright on the MORMON tour business!

That was the church his Mom went to...
But Smith was a member of the Methodist Church...
Smith was mad about something...
A girl from the church had spurned him...
her father produced a shotgun...
A church member turned him in for his occult practices, or his glass looking/money digging etc...
Something...
And later he just claimed that they were all an abomination...
And blamed God...
I doubt God enjoyed that...

Safford, fewer than 30 posts in three years...perhaps you aren't aware that sourcing statements is common.
Many of us are not convinced by the propaganda distributed by the LDS church, either. The scientologists also have their faith-promoting stories.

Well, see, a true conservative would be able to read the rules and understand that if you are not a member of the caucus, stay off.
You appear to be one of those non-conservatives that demand everyone worship who, what and how YOU wish.
