I wonder how many of those people are aware that Fr. Groeschel’s wisdom (like Archbishop Sheen), is built on the solid foundation of nasty old rigid, judgmental, dogmatic Catholicism.

*snicker* Let's not tell them. Let them just absorb it. ;o)

There is also something very pragmatic and earthbound about Groeschel though. He is what I would call open-minded and welcoming with other cultures and faiths; I kind of see this as a way that he has of drawing people in to at least hear the Gospel. Possibly, people who are very quick to close the door.

I believe some of this is due to his background as a psychologist. He knows and understands people by faith and spirituality as well as by reason and nature.

As you probably also know, and have heard him discuss, he was educated in a very aggressively secular environment.

His experiences makes him most unique ~ like a rare gem.
