Hoping for 100 Bishops by April 17th -- one month before...

Can almost guarantee that you won't see Bishop DeLorenzo of Richmond on that list. He is to busy micro-managing Eucharist adoration schedules.

I wonder if Archbisop Gregory will speak out for or against President Obama speaking at ND?

Can Father Jenkins have his faculties as a priest be removed from him by the Bishop, hence he could not function as a priest?

What I don’t get are the bishops who won’t speak out.

Archbishop Buechlein is my bishop. He is a very quiet and kind man who is not a big noise in political things. Those are extremely strong words from him, and should make people in the Indianapolis area pay attention.

Archbishop Daniel Buechlein of Indianapolis, in a letter to Fr. Jenkins posted on the archdiocese's website today, wrote: "... "There isn't a single reason that would justify Catholic sponsorship of the president of our country, who is blatantly opposed to the Catholic Church's doctrine on abortion and embryonic stem-cell research."

Well said, Archbiship Buechlein!

Why isn't the Pope speaking out?

I'm guessing he's letting the laity, and priests handle this one. Notre Dame isn't run by the Church, it only claims it's a college in the "Catholic tradition".

This outcry, from ordinary pew-sitters, and most importantly, ALUMNI of the school, will certainly call attention to the fact that some allegedly Catholic colleges have, for all intents and purposes abandoned their original missions. It's hoped that Catholics across the nation will at least think twice before sending their kids to them.

Bishop Taylor is going to be here in a couple of weeks at our parish...he will be saying Friday Mass, confirming some of our young people, and celebrating First Communion for two groups the weekend of the 23-25th (my daughter is singing at the Friday Mass and the FHC Masses). If I get the chance to meet him, I will let him know we thank him for taking this stand.

There is already Canon Law on the matter.

It basically says that any Catholic College or University cannot award or have a speaker that is opposed to all church doctrine. That includes Obortion Obama’s stand on abortion.

We must continue our heartfelt prayers. I think of the persistent widow in the scriptures.

We are mid way of the Novena of Devine Mercy.

KV and I are up and about wheeling around the Cold outside, yet conversing/ 43 days of no tv.

EWTN only.

Now that my FRiend is spiritual Rehab.

BTW Thanks to all who on another thread gave Patterns for home made Rosaries.

I came to an idea and will be making St. Kolbe and Mother of Divine Mercy with a Our Father and 3 Hail! Mary (eees) stone rock dillie bob that has a clasp on the end so one can wear it (free will choice) on a button hole our other handy area.
