Thank you for the reply.
When Opie and all his former co-stars made that ad for Soetoro, that told me all I needed to know: they are all baby-killing Catholic-haters.
Now Opie and Brown are back to their old two-step—claiming its all factual, and when someone challenges any of their “facts,” then “it’s just a novel/movie.”
Minor nit.
There was no “crusade” waged against the Templars, except possibly in the metaphorical sense of any war or campaign being a crusade.
The attack on the Templars was instigated and implemented primarily by the King of France, although various Church leaders were quite happy to share in the spoils and allowed themselves to be used as cover for the nakedly mercenary motivation of the King.
It may not have been a crusade in the strictest sense of the word but it did involve charges of heresy, burning at the stake, the Church, and the Pope so, in a sense, it was a crusade invoked to suppress infidels (alleged infidels); although, you and I know otherwise of course, that this was a way to get out of paying off debts to Templars and to secure their reputed treasure (which never turned up according to my sources) and later went on to become the inspiration behind my favorite movie, National Treasure. If you haven’t read “the Lost Treasure of the Knights Templar”, By Steven Sora, I would reccomend it as it provides interesting speculations on the post Phillip Templar Knight history.
LOL, that's a good question! But whatever you do, don't hold your breath waiting; Opie knows only Christianity is fair game in Hollywood, and he's a gutless wonder when it comes to attacking Islam.
He's a whining publicity hound.
I and around a billion others thought it was great.
I guess Howard skipped history classes at his studio school.
