I could be wrong (especially since I’m not Jewish), but I believe that Kosher slaughtering is actually pretty humane. They slash the throat of the animal deep enough that death comes quickly. It’s not like it lays there and bleeds to death slowly.
As a 'Bitter Evangelical' I am woefully ignorant about Kosher slaughtering and willfully ignorant of Halal slaughtering, but aren't there some similarities regarding bleeding out the butchered animal? Would this affect Halal butchers?
