I have been saying the very same thing, altho I would turn my back for a moment of silence and walk out.

I’d skip it. I don’t like graduations much, anyway. Long, boring, and its usually too hot. I’d have my stuff packed and would be relaxing at home long before my peers started getting their stuff together to move out of the dorms.

I’d put some pressure on a child of mine to attend their high school graduation but college or grad school, it’s no big deal. If they didn’t want to go, that would be fine with me. They are far too self important events in my book. Let’s start the graduation party a bit earlier, that’s all.
