Well, while some thought — at the time he was Vice President and President that he was not qualified, per the Constitution, some believe it on the basis that he was not a natural born citizen, because of his father’s status (like some are saying about Obama). Others said, at the time, that he was born in Canada. Either way, he wasn’t qualified to be President, according to the Constitution.
