this has been posted several times and it’s disturbing every time.
Totalitarians like Firefly hate religion because it propagates the idea that there is something greater than them.

Some claim it is parking but if that were the case one would give out parking tickets!
or car pool to cut down on traffic.
They seem to have a lot of land so parking should not be that much of a problem.
Bible reading should not be unlawful use of law.

I hopw they sue not the county but the officials personally. Put the fear of God into these petty tyrants, so to speak.Don't worry, the ACLU will sue the officials on behalf of these white, Christian, conservative citizens for violation of constitutional rights. Won't they?

Nothing surprises me any more. I think we are going to see more and more of things like this going on. A shame it is happening.

My career was in law enforcement, police ‘road agent’ and Chief of Police and this is a sad day when a officer is forced to ‘collector of money’ for a city which often justs uks it away on silly things.

It seems to be becoming the norm.

What the deal is, Is Ca is BROKE and they are looking to any means of revenue. Rights be damnedThey probably see a Bible study group as a juicy target. Christian work ethics mean they probably have jobs, which means they'll have money.

What purpose is an unmarked car on the road, besides to be revenue enhancement? If cops REALLY wanted to slow people, a marked car pacing the highway, or openly visible would have more affect. A cop writing a ticket slows cars until cars are about 200 yds past, then they go back the way they were.
Writing tickets isn't about serving and protecting, its about revenue enhancement. And with that mentality displayed, why are cops surprised when people don't respect the person or the position?
As far as the article itself,
Broyles said, "The county asked, 'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?' She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say amen?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say praise the Lord?' 'Yes.'"
People are trying to argue a parking issue. Thats just an EXCUSE. If it were really about parking the previous questions NEVER would have been asked.

Two words: Civil disobedience.
Then fight it in the courts, and take it all the way to the SCOTUS if necessary. Obviously this is a First Amendment issue.
Lots of people will be willing to donate time, money and expertise to the defense. No sweat.
