gigster, A picture is worth a thousand words. Over 100 million people dead by dictators. Many college kids, who call themselves communists/marxists/progressists, don’t even know the history as they’re given a revised history. We need them to see the reality and more movies like this will help more than anything else. I will support it and hope others do as well.

2nd paragraph in the article.

I know what the second paragraph says. What happened in Poland was not a religious war. The Catholic Poles (is there any other kind?!?) were not killed because they were Catholic, but because of political reasons. The Polish Jews were killed because they were Jews, whether they were Polish or Hungarian or French or German, for racist reasons.

The subject of your post is film (presented in a rather "stealthy" way), history and politics. As such, the subject is not a religious topic and does not belong on the RF, imo.

Have the moderator move it to the appropriate forum.

The Religion Moderator is not here right now, I’ll make sure he reviews this later.

It’s staying in the religion forum for now so please drop it.

Movies which are fiction with some reference to religious matters - e.g. Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons - have been discussed in the Religion Forum.

This article is welcome here. But if bronxville requests it be moved, we will.

I will likewise support it.
Unfortunately, most college age kids have already been indoctinated by the Marxist/Progressive Ideology.
As Yuri Bezmenov stated, you could take them to the slave labor camps, and show them irrefutable proof of your contention, and they would not believe it.
Another powerful movie, though not graphic, is “The Lives Of Others”.
Perhaps another would be “Everything Is Illuminated”.
Most of these movies would not get made in the U.S.
I looked at “Katyn” on YouTube. I just ordered it from Amazon.

Marx believed Socialism was a logical step towards Communism. He also believed religion was the “opiate of the masses” and believed it needed to be eliminated in order for Communism to be successful. If Socialism is a logical step towards Communism, one of the duties of Socialism must logically be to snuff out religion. A lot of college kids buy into - Christianity bad - Socialism good and take what their professors tell them as gospel w/o doing their own research.

IMO, Communism/Fascism are religions - Deification of the State. They remind me of Islam. Their motto, all you have belongs to us, and we’ll kill you to get it.

Thanks for the names of the movies - will check them out. Will also order mine from Amazon and no, sad to say, there doesn’t seem to be a market for them here but there could be...

I think that we can add Enviro-Fascism in to the mix, as it
is also a secular religion.
Also “Katyn” does not come out in the U.S until Aug. 11.

I’ve seen that in person. Too bad it’s in Baltimore. I grew up 20 miles from there and well, let’s just say I don’t miss it at all.
