“Immodest” dress magnifies womens’ sexual power over men. But only at the expense of everything else. While it is possible for a provocatively clad woman to be taken seriously intellectually, it is unlikely. Men don’t have a lot of control over what arouses them. Women have considerable control over what they wear. I think a reasonable accommodation by both parties would go far toward lessening the tension between the genders.
But I don’t think feminists or scantily clad women are interested in LESSENING the tension. For completely different reasons, both groups benefit then the tension is high.
You darn sure better have control when a girl is dancing with you and her boyfriend is within beer throwing range. And she doesn’t make it any easier for you either.
