I do believe in God but I have no idea what God is up to. Every attempt to explain God is an insult to God. Christianity teaches that God “permits” little babies to suffer and die, because of of “original sin.” Any being who is all loving would never permit that. Just as any parent who loved his child would never stand by and let him suffer and die if he could prevent it. All explanations of God’s will and God’s nature are woefully inadequate.
Yes, I believe in God, just God, though I cannot backup that belief with anything substantial. I’ve always wondered what people mean when they say things like...’you just need to believe’...how does one make themselves believe in something that cannot be validated without relying on some other belief? I think our true beliefs come from the way God designed each of us. Like you, I have no idea why and doubt I could understand it anyway...besides, I don’t really have a need to understand why or how, God is.
