This is my first attempt at posting a topic on FR, so forgive me if I messed it up. This is an interview with the gay bishop, and he claims that Roman Catholics are flocking to his church. He makes several claims that just aren’t true.

"We don’t want to raise our daughters in a church that doesn’t value young people in our church."

Vicki Gene Robinson doesn't care about raising their daughters, he cares about raising their sons.

Remember how the NYT always called George W. Bush INCURIOUS? Sounds like the reporter here was certainly that, because he didn’t check any of the ‘facts’ presented by Gene Robinson. I guess Robinson is just one of those sources who is beyond reproach, unlike, say, ANY Catholic Bishop or Southern Baptist minister.

I thought the UnGodly Bishop had his own daughters that he ditched to fulfill his homosexual lifestyle. Am I confusing him with some other homosexual who tries to maintain his relevance?

I wasn’t confused after all-When Gene and his wife split, their daughters were 8 and 4. He obviously didn’t value those two young people, IMHO.

His sexual orientation was privately acknowledged in the 1970s, when he studied in seminary, was ordained, married, and started a family. He went public with his sexual identity and divorced in the 1980s.

In November 1987, Robinson met his partner, Mark Andrew, while on vacation in St. Croix. Andrew was on vacation and worked in Washington, D.C. at the national office of the Peace Corps. On 2 July 1988, Robinson and Andrew moved into a new house and had it blessed by Bishop Douglas Theuner, an event which they considered to be the formal recognition of their life together. Andrew currently works in the New Hampshire state government. He was legally joined to Robinson in June, 2008, in a private civil union ceremony, followed by a religious ceremony, both in St Paul’s Church, Concord. Earlier, Robinson had said, “I always wanted to be a June bride.”

Due to the controversy surrounding his consecration, Bishop Robinson was not invited to the 2008 Lambeth Conference by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams

The Primate of the Episcopal Church of the Sudan, Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul, on July 22 at a public press conference during the 2008 Lambeth Conference called for Robinson to resign, and for all those who had participated in his consecration to confess their sin to the conference.

In February 2006, Robinson was treated at an inpatient rehabilitation facility to deal with his “increasing dependence on alcohol”.

In 2008, Robinson said that he had led a retreat a few years before for gay Catholic priests.[28] He has opposed the Roman Catholic ban on homosexual seminarians, stating : “I find it so vile that they think they are going to end the child abuse scandal by throwing out homosexuals from seminaries.”

In 2009 Robinson was selected to deliver the invocation at the kickoff event of President Barack Obama’s inaugural weekend. Despite his extended involvement with Obama during the campaign

In April 2009, Robinson made the Out magazine Third Annual Power 50 list of the most influential gay men and women in the USA, landing at number 7

The Times of London reports that the president-elect sought out New Hampshire homosexual bishop Vicki Gene Robinson for advice three times during his presidential campaign. Robinson, whose ordination in the Episcopal Church has caused a deep rift within the Anglican Communion, was reportedly sought out by Obama to discuss what it feels like to be “first.”

Robinson notes in their three private conversations, Obama voiced his support for “equal civil rights” for homosexuals and described the election as a “religious experience.” Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, believes Obama’s consultations with Robinson show the true tenor of his upcoming administration.

“It looks like Billy Graham has been replaced by a gay bishop. We’re moving to, perhaps, our first anti-Christian president; it’s beyond post-Christian. Gene Robinson advocates homosexuality as part of the Christian experience,” he explains. “Now Bible-believing Christians cannot accept that. Homosexual practice is sinful, as taught by the scriptures. This man [Obama] pretends to be faithful to Christianity, even as he works very hard to undermine it.”

“Who are you pulling in?”

“We have received so many Roman Catholics and young families, particularly families who are saying, “We don’t want to raise our daughters in a church that doesn’t value young people in our church.””

Take that you bigoted Catholics!!!
