Where in the Jewish scriptures does it say that the Messiah will die for the sins of the world and be resurrected on the third day, and why do the Jews not believe it if it's in their scriptures?

It doesn't; however, the Jewish Scriptures do foreshadow the coming of the Messiah, no? Why does the Scripture searched have to explicitly spell it out?
