I found Archbishop Chaput's responses to you to be shallow and mostly devoid of insight. Disturbingly so, frankly. He did not address your points in the least bit, but frankly seemed to be apologizing for the Church lining up on the side of not just big government, but massive government that intrudes into every aspect of a person's life.

It's astounding to me that our religious leaders are so blind as to see that our government is run by secularists, many of whom are virulently anti-Christian. Handing them more power will result in a persecution of the Church. Count on it.

Not to mention that the gubberment almost always screws things up. Over and over and over again. You have to hand it to the Archbishop as concerns baby butchery though. It sounds like he would love to vote lib if it weren’t for that issue.

I would like to hear from the A.bishop why he thinks gubberment funded healthcare/welfare isn’t a form of socialism, which the Church doesn’t dig at all.
