Yeah, I always thought the ELCA was a pretty wimpy church...they can barely sing, the liturgy just falls on its face.

See the Missouri Synod or a good Baptist Church. Who needs a liberal church...what an oxymoron.

I've always said jokingly, but actually seriously, that one of the reasons I've always loved the Missouri Synod is because it has the best hymns.

They are unsurpassed in totality for their inspired words and memorable music.

One of the musical backbones of my life-long work in the conservative cause has been the stirring "A Mighty Fortress is Our God".....the Battle Hymn of the Reformation, written and composed by Pastor Martin Luther himself.
