On Friday, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) voted in favor of allowing practicing homosexuals, in committed relationships, to hold positions of authority within the sect.

By a vote of 559 to 451 at last week's national convention, representatives of the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States decided "to open the ministry of the church to gay and lesbian pastors and other professional workers living in committed relationships."

"The actions here change the church's policy, which previously allowed gays and lesbians into the ordained ministry only if they remained celibate," ELCA information director John Brook told AFP.

Yeah, as long as they are committed sodomites, it is OK.

I grew up in a community which was mainly ELCA members. I am guessing and hoping that a goodly share of them won't go along with the majority vote to sanction Sodomy.

I know the man upstairs won't.

Father John Corapi said that we need to stop using the passage “don’t judge lest ye be judged” cause it’s a bad translation of the bible.

As someone in our Sunday Bible Class pointed out, this is the first time that a church is requiring that the sinners remain in their sin.

Yep, more from people who think they know better. Luther was against homosexuality if I’m not mistaken.

homo memo

next stop for infiltrating baptist church.

please all homos’ go to those churches, join them and get the flock to like you, once they trust you tell them you are a homosexual but you just want to love who you want and want to be left alone.
Then make sure they never see you kissing or touching the same sex and do not what so ever let them see you on a freak parade
Once they are fooled they will tell others how they know you and how you are nice. They then will come to our side in their ignorance to our agenda.
once this happens we are ready to make our next move and destroy them from within

once completed we will work on another target .

do not worry though we have others making inroads in local Govt, schools and various work companies.

Time to wake up and stop this madness or they will do the above and once hey have they have won

Under ECLA leadership one could justify adultery if one wants to interpret Scripture that way. In the Lutheran church you can now bring a black marker to church and simply blacken-out any parts of the Bible you don’t agree with.

The Episcopal Church, underwent a similar transition. My grandfather was a very conservative Episcopal minister but became edged out as the church became more liberal. He would have lots of trouble if he was still alive with what his beloved church became. The divisions that decisions like this create can tear apart even the largest denominations.

Technically all they did was drop the requirement for priestly celibacy at this meeting which I find more than a little bit ironic.

So true.

The next targets:
Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod
The United Methodist Church
The American Baptists

They won't come for the Catholics or the Southern Baptists or even the LDS any time soon, but rest assured, they WILL come. And when they do, they will be armed with freshly-minted "hate speech" laws and the power to lock doors, empty bank accounts and imprison both ministers an laymen. Persecution is coming folks. And it is wearing shocking pink.
