Jesus Christ is my personal beloved Savior. He suffered and died to save me from my sins. He dwells in my heart by the power of the Holy Ghost. This is Heavenly Father’s plan. I am a Mormon.

The Prophet has asked us to keep our gas tanks at least half full at all times. He has also asked us to keep a one year supply of food and water for our families. We keep 72-hour packs at the ready. He is concerned for our welfare. It doesn’t hurt to be prepared. Remember Joseph in Egypt.

I was in Missouri recently. There are 14 Stakes and a Temple in St. Louis. Another to be built in Clay County. Hmmmmmm indeed.

Thank you.

I actually took a U.S. History II college class and your version of what happened to the early Mormons is not historically accurate.

List the inaccuracies and provide a source, please.

The test of God’s Prophet is that he brings forth good fruit. There have been many false prophets, but they have not achieved the success of the LDS church because of the bad fruit that they produce.

It is a fact that Nauvoo was the largest city in Illinois

I seriously doubt your "fact", since the population of Chicago, which is also in Illinois, was 476,000 in 1840. By 1850 it was 851,000.

If Joe Smith was a baseball player and his “prophesies” were his “at bats”, he would never have made it out little league...

What is new are the lies and distortions that have come, are coming and will continue to come out from the LDS itself...

For example, where is the search for Nephi this year?

Do you ever stop for a second and realize that you are arguing with people that believe that Smith is a Prophet, that the fairytale lands and people of the BOM are real despite never being found, that Indians, whose DNA has been proven to have no link what so ever to the Israelites, even by their own “scientist’, are decedents of the Israelites, that they (the men at least) will become Gods, and...

Well that they believe the whole host of LDS dogma and such...

Do you ever just pause and think about that.

I do.

Then I just snicker and keep going.

Mormons are Christians on steroids.

LOL!

Oh my...

I don't know whether to categorize that as humor, irony or blasphemy.

I will go with all three...

The test of God’s Prophet is that he brings forth good fruit.

My understand about God's Prophets is that they were never wrong.

Can you cite one prophecy that Joseph Smith got right? I have already provided you with many prophecies of Smith that he got absolutely 100% wrong, believe me there are many many more. I've seen others on this forum post them, using mormon sources as a reference.

“Joseph Smith and his brother were murdered in cold blood. You cannot re-write history.”

No need to rewrite anything. Joe was in jail for his crimes.
He received frontier justice at the hands of a mob - just as non-mormons and former mormons received mormon justice at the hand of a mormon mob. Eye for an eye.

“Ever since he was 14 years of age, Joseph Smith was maligned, hated, and persecuted - even to this very day. Even his murder did not stop them.”

QUIT PICKING ON JOE!!! HE DIDN’T HURT ANYONE...

“Mormons are Christians on steroids.”

Drug use isn’t a Christian value...
Truer statement... Mormons are a new age cult on steroids.

Remember Joseph in Egypt
________________________________________

This is not Egyt...

Remember moses in the desert ??

he did the same thing twice and God punished him for it...

A little thing about striking the rock for water when God didnt tell him to...

He didnt get to set foot in the promised land...

he saw it from Mt Nebo but he never went in...

God told him to...

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. Exodus 17:6

God didnt tell him to...

Take the rod, and gather you the assembly together, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak you to the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock: so you shall give the congregation and their beasts drink. ...And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. Numbers 20:8, 11

God didnt say to strike the rock that time..He said to SPEAK to it..

It pays to listen to God and obey Him, not man...

The test of God's Prophets come from Deuteronomy and other parts of the Old Testament

Accuracy plays apart, something Smith failed at miserably.

Numbers of followers has nothing to do with it. The Evil one can gather many together as well.

If we follow your malformed logic, then Elsie has a point, we should all be Muslims, they out number your precious LDS several times over....

Perhaps you should reassess, or come up with a really cute explanation of the success of Muhammad being wrong and Smith being rate based on the numbers...

I'll bet on the latter...

It's SOP...

Yep, I think about all that, that's why I don't usually comment a lot on these threads but I love reading and following along, so all you pingers, keep pinging me to them.

Another reason I don't usually comment a lot is that there are Christians on these threads who are much better educated than I am in these matters and do an excellent job of shining the light of truth on all the lies of the false prophet and his minions.

I don't recall the screen name of the one mormon man who saw the light as a result of being educated by the Christians who post here but one person coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is worth it all.

All of you Christian posters take comfort in this and stand strong:

James Chapter 5:

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Nor God the Faqther, nor Jesus...

Joey Smith was just a liar out for a quick buck...

Nothing was ever heard about any vision or written down before 1835...

Now why would that be if it had ever happened ???

He didnt even tell his mother...

Lucifer was able to gather 1/3 of the angels...

and the number was far more than Joey Smith has ever deceived...

Maybe the mormons are following the wrong “sucessful” leader ??
