In the interest of full Freeper diclosure, I was a church member for a fairly short while, while 13 or so to 17. I quit because I came to realize I was a hypocrite - I didn't believe what I was professing to believe.

However, I found the Mormons to be the most "Christian" acting (in general) of any church I attended, and there were many, including Presbyterian, Catholic, Lutheran, and several others. Mormons seemed to me to most emulate Christ and to follow His teachings (New Testament) the most closely.

By His teachings I mean the words Christ is recorded as having spoken.

Acting Christian and being Christian are two separate things.

I have found the latter to be the most challenging and rewarding.
