How very fortunate for those living close-by!

I see you are in California. There are several Eastern Catholic Churches in CA. One of our fellow freepers occasionally attends mass at St. Ephrem's Maronite Catholic Church, in El Cajon and another in San Francisco. There is also the Holy Angels Byzantine Catholic Church in San Diego and so many others spread out across the state. I am Roman Catholic but practice my faith at a Maronite Catholic Church. The liturgy is chanted, reverent and ancient, tracing its roots to Antioch where Peter served as bishop before going to Rome. If you have never experienced one of the eastern catholic liturgies, I would encourage you to visit and experience the beauty of these ancient churches.
