Maybe the same sources can tell us about the saints canonized by the Protestant faiths or are those Protestant churches named after saints, those saints canonized by the Catholic Church?

When I was in the Episcopal Church we observed Biblical NT saints. We also "commemorated" notable figures, but no claim was made for their, ah, status. The prayers on such a day made no mention of their intercession but instead implored that we might profit by their example.

Some Episcoplians, however, took a more Catholic view and also observed memorial days for saints canonized before the C of E split from the Catholic Church. But the thinking was always pretty hazy and vague.
