Notre Dame Pays Student Expenses to D.C. March for Homosexual 'Marriage'

The University of Notre Dame gave financial assistance to five students to participate in Sunday's national gay rights demonstration, which was organized in part to advocate homosexual "marriage," a campus newspaper has reported.

The "National Equality March" on Sunday, October 11, in Washington, D.C., was sponsored by Equality Across America, which aims to build a national grassroots network asserting homosexual couples' "right to marry" as well as other demands. The Catholic Church believes that marriage is possible only between a man and a woman.

"Faithful Catholics will ask whether Notre Dame has learned its lesson from the scandalous commencement ceremony last spring," said Patrick J. Reilly, President of The Cardinal Newman Society. "What university seeking to reassure families of its Catholic identity would pay for students to attack the family and oppose Catholic teachings on marriage?"

Notre Dame is Catholic in name only. Not surprising.

Can’t wait for Carroll and USC to deliver another beating to Charlie Tuna and the Rusted Domers. With stories like these I no longer feel guilty, as a RC, to root against Notre Dame.

Gee, only five students had trips to the homo march paid for by Notre Shame? It must have been difficult leaving the rest of their friends “behind”.

And I’m not an ND fan either. Matter of fact I don’t root for anyone in College football. ND is overrated anyway.

A HUGE portion of the American Catholic Church has been completely taken over by lunatics.

Good thing Jesus let us know the gates of hell will not prevail against his church. It might get knocked around a bit, but, in the end, we win.

Notre Dame hasn't been dubbed "Notre Flame" for nothing!!!

A stumbling-block to orthodox men in the seminaries is a pervasive "'gay subculture', comprised of both students and faculty"; some of the seminaries have gleefully earned such nicknames as "Notre Flame (for the Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans)" and "Theological Closet (for Theological College at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.)." "St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore has earned the nickname the 'Pink Palace.'" Heterosexual, orthodox men who do make it into the seminaries often find themselves under seige by the homosexuals and having to fend off sexual advances, even rape. When they complain to the seminary leadership they are often told to be tolerant, to understand the others' need to "get in touch with their true sexuality". Those resisting often have to meet and study secretly, providing each other support -- a sort of true believers' underground. An underground of morality within the church! .....

"Notre Flame" is the Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, which has no relationship to the University of Notre Dame du Lac in South Bend, Indiana.

(U of Notre Dame, oddly, has no seminary associated with it. Neither do they have a medical school. But they do have a law school. Go figure.)
