One of the main religions in the United States and abroad is Christianity. Christian people I have determined to be fact, are the most closed-minded people walking the face of this planet. They are largely responsible, not all, for the numerous UFO misinformations that are out there today. I have seen many upon many Christian people denounce the alien and UFO hypothesis simply because they say that the Bible does not clearly speak of such, therefore it is not real and if anything is demonic in nature.

The attack comes from all angles these days. I suppose the author thinks he’s open-minded.

Yeah, same thing for close-mindedness toward Astrology.

Interestingly enough, the man who is most noted for investigating the UFO phenomenon, Harvard professor John Mack, came to the conclusion that ET was inter-dimensional, not a good thing, much like an insect, and yes, demonic. Then someone ran him down with an automobile in London.

And so do you agree with this loon?

The writer has NO ability to provide proof of his theories so he does what any good follower would do -— develop a conspiracy theory as to why there is no proof.

Common man, certainly you require more intellectual honesty than that

Tell me that this is really just a long-winded commercial for the newly relaunched V. At least that would be somewhat amusing and not just outright sad.

Blame it on the Christians, as though Christians have the power to conceal the truth (whatever that is) about UFOs. How many churches are there, denominations, variances in theology, and someone believes Christians could get together on a cover up of UFOs, or even on opinions of what UFOs may or may not be? Which Christians are we talking about? I subscribe to the Genesis gap theory, creation, re-creation, and a lot of fundamentalist minded Christians believe the same way. It opens up a lot of possibilities regarding creation and life, although most of us, me included, reject evolution. Other Christians, Young Earth Creationists, and whatever else is out there, also vary in their opinions of other life in the universe and time. Most of us come down to this, God created the universe and all the life in it. Most of us also come down to this: Christians should concern themselves with following and obeying Christ and his teachings, and that doesn’t mean that we have to have specific explanations for all of the unexplainable phenomena that comes along. Maybe UFOs (whatever they are) are responsible for their own cover up. Let’s face it. If they (whoever they are) didn’t want their existence concealed, this conversation wouldn’t be necessary. Blame them.

Wow seems to me it’s the author of this article who is the close minded bigot. I’m not into the ufo stuff. But if there were anything out there it wouldn’t threaten Christianity in the least. Because God created all those planets and stars and anything out there would be His creation. That said every ufo report I’ve ever heard of has turned out to be an easily explained mistake or a hoax for money and or attention.

PS: If you can beam Obama and Pelosi back on the mothership and send them back to their home planet I would appreciate it.

Total crap. I am a Christian and know many Christians who believe in UFOs. I operate under the premise that He never said we were the only ones He created.

One of my crazy ex-boyfriends always believed that God is a space alien, but I think that is just an astronomical leap to make, even for a crazy person ; )

Let me quote Willy Ley, a German rocket scientist who assisted von Braun in putting us on the Moon. When asked about UFOs he responded, "Show me bodies, machinery, or wreckage."

Govts do not control every square meter of land and ocean on this planet. If these things have arrived it's ludicrous to think that only govts would have discovered these craft' existence. And any civilization capable of interstellar travel, contrary to the cinema, would find Earth easy pickings for conquest of destruction. And if that is not their purpose, they certainly wouldn't be likely to follow the directions of Earthly politicians and religious leaders to remain hidden.

I have seen many upon many Christian people denounce the alien and UFO hypothesis simply because they say that the Bible does not clearly speak of such, therefore it is not real . . .

They ought to reread the first few chapters of Ezekiel. For someone who had probably never seen anything more complicated that a chariot, he gave one of the best descriptions of mechanical devices by a technological illiterate that I have ever read.

For grins, read it with the idea that he has seen four humanoids, each with helicopter backpack, exit some kind of aerial vehicle that has just landed. The "wings" are the blades; the blades idle/windmill when the "men" walk; the "wings" are replaced by "wheels" which either, in his words, pull or push the men into the air and are under their direction; the "wheel within a wheel" is the same phenomena we see in rotatating chopper blades or in the old western movies as the stagecoach rumbles by, etc. IMO, he saw something that does nor belong, according to our history, in that age.
