Yes, impossible to answer now. But I would imagine these are of concern to some Roman Catholics. I'm not Roman Catholic, so the article is not necessarily from my point of preview. I am merely Anglo-Catholic, and I think some ingredients will need to be inspected and tested before this cake gets backed.

I suppose they might be. But then again, their (my - I was received into the Catholic Church this past spring) vaunted Magisterium has been working on this issue for a number of years. Won't most thoughtful Catholics figure that they've thought it through pretty well?
This is one thing that amazes me about some of the initial Catholic response to this announcement. People are asking all these questions in a tone as if they were the first one to think about this issue or that. My goodness, have these Catholics so little faith in their leadership?
