The Freemasons are not without sin. To wit:

H.H. Pope Pius IX died on February 7, 1878. On the night of July 12-13, 1881, his casket was transferred from the Vatican to Rome’s Verano cemetery. The Freemasons organized an irreverent protest, including blasphemies, vulgar and obscene songs, and throwing of stones against the funeral procession, which responded by praying the Rosary, reciting Psalms, the Office of the Dead, and pious ejaculations.

The protest reached a climax when the funeral procession crossed the River Tiber near Castel Sant’Angelo. To the cry, “Death to the Pope! Death to priests!” a group of protesters attempted to throw the corpse into the Tiber. Catholics, however, encircled the Pontiff’s remains and managed to overcome the opposition.

Undoubtedly true.

The masons, being open to all Christians and Jews, took on the character of the community around them, specifically including protestants, and the Prostestant/Roman Catholic nastiness that went with it.

There are some famous clashes of lodges (one being Roman Catholic, the other being Anglican Catholic) in Ireland.

As you progress thru the York Rite of Freemasonry you ‘learn’ that Yahweh, the Egyptian Ra, and the Caanite Baal are the one and same god; which sounds like a satanic trinity. And you can’t tell me otherwide, I went thru all the normal ranks of the York and Scottish Rites. I drank the wine out of the plastic skull and took all the oaths. So I guess I will be murdered and buried between high and low tide.

Masonry requires you to believe in one god, any god, just as long as it is just one. You swear your oaths on the holy book of your choice: Bible, koran, whatever.

Wow. The anti-Catholic masons on this thread make some of the religious anti-Catholics look like [Albert] pikers.

A friends of mines father was told by the pastor of his local Catholic Church that it was no longer "frowned upon."

I tired to meet with pastor to show him the documentation and he refused. I sent the information to the Bishop and nothing was done.

Answer: No.

The simplest reason? Because Masonry puts a person's good works as the basis of their entrance into the Heavenly ABode, or whatever name they use for the afterlife.

The Masons specifically refuse to honor the cross of Christ as the payment for their sins.

Can a Chrstian "be" a Mason? Yes.

_Should_ a Christian be a Mason? No.
