I do agree that Lutherans and Roman Catholics differ on the nature of grace. But there are other differences as well, such as the total depravity of sinful nature, the imputed righteousness of Christ, and instantaneous justification. I know that there are those that are trying to put the broadest possible interpretation to these differences in hopes of reaching Christianity unity, but they can only do so by disparaging the importance of doctrine. I do appreciate talking with someone that actually knows what Roman Catholics believe.
