“However, he didn’t break OUT of jail, a mob broke IN to kill him.

Joe got what he deserved in a rough frontier justice way,
after attempting to steal the wives of others and ordering
the destruction of private property that publicized his
atrocities.

He also unloaded his ammo into a crowd, gave the masonic
symbol for distress (true faith there), and fell after
attempting to jump.

This ended the life of a man who was a fraud in every
sense. His gun misfired 3 out of 6 times. His teaching misfired 6 out of 6 times.

Perfectly said.

Joe got off easy. As he was attempting to escape from that second story window, a bullet hit him. He falled down and went boom.

He sure was lucky that none of the husbands of Joe's dalliances got a hold of him first.

Too bad 'ol Joe didn't just stick to selling beer from his home. He did allright with that gig. He coulda been a famous beer distributor.

Tsk Tsk.

He shot back at an armed mob that had already murdered his brother.

I generally agree with your opinion of Joseph Smith. Had he been found guilty by a court of a capital crime and executed I would have no problem with it. However, he had a right to that trial, particularly after surrendering on promise of protection.

I find your attempt to defend the actions of a cowardly armed mob offensive.

Mobs were a big problem in the US at this time. Here’s what Mr. Lincoln had to say about them six years earlier and about 100 miles away.

He wasn’t in favor of them.
