I’m pretty sure the LDS church was partnering with Islamic charitable organization during the 2004 Tsunami as they have a large presence in the affected areas. Contrary to some thinking, not all Islamic charities are covers for terrorist organizations...
SO far as I can tell from my very brief research (who would have thought I’d have to research this crap), IR-USA is mostly a fundraising organization, and does not have a large volunteer staff to actually DO things.
