You two should post on the subject more often.

The children, as D521646 mentions are one of two reasons I started looking into the root causes of homosexuality. It was actually LeVay's 1991 study that got me hooked.

Well, thanks Scripter! Truth be told, I have battled liberals, and advocates of SSM for well over 8 years now. Like you, I entered the fray because I saw a consistent contradiction with the claims they (The agenda) were making. All too often I have seen how unchallenged rhetoric can swiftly become the truth. So, back in the day, I did some quick searches on the net, and started to really learn about how deep the agenda was. How terrible the MSM was at reporting the facts. I saw people vilified on message boards, including myself. I saw them called everything in the book, from gay themselves, to homophobe, to racist (Which speaks volumes for the accuser) to hater.. The list goes on. I got tired of it. I knew that even a cursory opinion against homosexual marriage, or special rights, wasn’t indicative of someone that was hateful. Mostly it came from parents, grand-parents, inquisitive minds; people truly curious, like myself, on the causes of homosexuality. As a student of philosophy, and a logic, I felt that from my desktop I could help people understand how they were being had. How they were being mislead on this subject; and specifically how the terms of the debate were being systematically redefined before our eyes by a mostly complicit media machine.

I still get hostile people calling me names and such, but I rarely if ever these days bother to acknowledge their childish retorts. If you can’t argue without name calling, then you do not deserve any of my time, and effort. Like you said, Scripter, the issue is very complex, and you can tell instantly when you’re arguing with someone that has no clue what they’re talking about. Try to educate them, and you’re not seen as noble, but a bigot. When the definition of bigot is directed back to them, they simply slip away, forever into the doldrums of internet fantasy.

I don’t, and have never claimed to know for sure if homosexuality is inborn, but the VAST, (And it’s not even close) amount of real science done on the subject points to a mostly, if not entirely, environmental cause. If it is environmental, then experimenting with our kids is the epitome of unethical science. I won’t allow that to happen on my watch.
