Thanks for answering, sounds like it was wonderful moment. I don't KNOW if the Shroud is authentic but I would LIKE for it to be. I will be disappointed if it is ever proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is not. It doesn't matter as far as my faith in Jesus is concerned because that faith is strong, I would just like for it to be the real thing. Does that make sense?

I agree - doesn't matter if it is Christ's shroud; however, I do know there has never been a reproduction of it even using today's science.
As an aside, after the 1988 testing, it was shown the tested material was a part of the "repaired" section. Later, using a small remaining "clean" piece it was carbon tested to be from the period of Christ. The fact this was done by a non-believer makes it even more substantial.
So I believe it is truly the shroud that covered Christ when he was resurrected but my faith in Him goes way deeper.

Believing the shroud is the burial cloth of Jesus Christ does not impact one's faith.
