Of course it does . . .

IN GOD’S WAYS IN GODS’ TIME vis a vis the children of Jacob.

So does

HE THAT [EARNESTLY WHOLEHEARTEDLY] SEEKS ME SHALL FIND ME.

What are the parameters on that, oh wise one?

One author . . . might be Joel Rosenberg . . . believes the percentage of Messianic Jews in Israel at this moment are approaching the percentage of the children of Israel who had not bowed the knee to Baal when the prophet was wailing about being the only one worshipping God.

Then there’s the whole issue of the 144,000 with 12,000 from every tribe sold out to their Messiah and doing great exploits for Him in the END TIMES.

I have to keep the my family going. We have not held back from our 14 and 16 year of daughters. The 14 year old thinks she is going to lose things in her life. I keep point to scripture to show her what she will gain. She having problems with having to leave her nonbeliever friends behind. She wants to save them all. We keep telling her she can only point the way and Jesus does the rest. I remember the years I had ahead but today's youth have to be strong in a shorter amount of time. I admire them. I also let them know I do.

INDEED.

I see toddlers and shrudder what it must be like as a parent in this era knowing what I know.

However, God cares about them more than I do and is better able to care for them.

He has a plan.

Yet, even His word says . . . pray your flight not be in winter . . . woe to them giving suck at the time etc.

Sure takes Holy Spirit to know how and what to teach kids about what’s looming.

I think Francis Schaeffer had a lot to say about teaching kids to be tough believers in a crazy sinful hostile world and culture.

God's instructions to Moses and Aaron were pretty clear. If that's not what He wanted, He had an odd way of putting it.

Which Commandment pertained to blood sacrifices?

You have to look at all of it, not just one area. G-d didn't Command sacrifices. The people did that of their own accord, as was mentioned in the earlier scripture posted. They didn't listen, but, instead went BACKWARD. So, IF they were bound and determined, they were at least given a proper means of doing so. BUT, then scripture speaks of them being without a temple and that they would render bullocks from their LIPS. Sacrifices were to be phased out, and be replaced with prayer and repentance, as He had originally planned.

There’s a line of blood from Genesis to Revelation.

Wrong. :)

The offering made in Genesis 4:3,4 and 5 are BLOODLESS.

Photobucket

The bloody ones come along in Leviticus. As mentioned above. If they were bound and determined to continue in the heathen ways of their exile, they were at least given a temporary means of doing so.

More to think about, pertaining to animal sacrifices.

Isaiah 66:3-4 (KJV)
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

In post #148, notice the word abomination. Maybe the ‘abomination of desolation’ is the setting up of the sacrificial alter in the Temple.

I can never get a straight answer from these people on who the Antichrist was in 70 AD.

1 John 2
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

The antichrist and other antichrists were already around when John wrote his epistle.

John was a Hebrew; therefore, it is probable that the "us" John refers to in 1 John 2:19 is likely His brethren that followed Jesus.

1 John 4
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The "spirit of antichrist" is equated to a "spirit of error". The antichrist represents an error - false teaching - that was (and IS) being spread.

Antichrist = erroneous doctrine. Antichrist primarily represents a set of false teachings, not simply some future possible world religious/political figure, or something inserted under the skin. Those accepting the error promoted by the "spirit of error" or "spirit of antichrist" are unintentional victims of the spirit of antichrist.

So, the "antichrist" was (and is) a doctrine or set of doctrines that were already being spread in the latter part of the first century as false teachers betrayed the truth.

I didn’t know it was a song.

When I was young I was into rock and roll. My younger son (16) is into country. I'm totally hooked on it now. Where country is different than pop or rock is the songs usually tell a story, and the rules are don't put down God, family, or country.

IIRC, that song is about an old guy who meets a young guy at a bar. They swap stories. The old guy passes away and leaves the young guy his money. The family of the old guy is upset. The young guy swings by the grave opens a six pack to the old guy and celebrates his good fortune.

I wish I could tell you the title and author. It's a nice song.

I’d have to look, but I think it’s in Leviticus where God gives pretty detailed instructions on how He wants sacrifices and what He wants them for.

Like I said, if they were bound and determined to continue in the ways of their heathen exile, they were given directives. Sacrifices can only occur when the Temple exists. If sacrifices were so important, don't you think G-d would protect the Temple and keep it safe, instead of letting it be destroyed, not just once but multiple times?

G-d protected Noah and his family, kept them safe when everything else was destroyed. G-d protected Lot and those that listened, kept them safe, got them out of harms way. There's a reason that Temple keeps getting destroyed. What changes without the Temple? Do prayers stop? No. Does belief in G-d stop? No. Animal sacrifice is what stops.

Genesis 31:53
Jacob promised, swearing by the Fear, the God of his father Isaac. Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain and worshiped, calling in all his family members to the meal. They ate and slept that night on the mountain. Laban got up early the next morning, kissed his grandchildren and his daughters, blessed them, and then set off for home.

I just assumed that was God sending a message to the Jews that He was really ticked at them.

Plus, if sacrifices aren't His thing, then why did He accept Elijah's sacrifice in such a manner? Why would He insist on Christ as a sacrifice?

THANKS.

LOL.

Rock and roll grieves and irritates me a lot if I let it.

Country . . . used to . . . at least country tends to be real and not puffed up.

Can get to be one long whine quite easily, though.

In post #148, notice the word abomination. Maybe the ‘abomination of desolation’ is the setting up of the sacrificial alter in the Temple.

One "type" of the "abomination which causes desolation" stands on Zion this very day - and is chronologically sound in comparison to the prophecies of Daniel. That "abomination" has stood in Jerusalem in accordance with the prophecy, and seems to hallmark the "time of the gentiles." That type is the Dome of the Rock (or perhaps the Dome of the Tablets)...

Folks often are put off by the idea that the prophecy is multi-faceted - That a single prophecy is repeated in type, perhaps across generations, but that it isn't fulfilled until it is fulfilled precisely, and exactly.

IOW, Just because there have been types in the past, Antioch Epiphanes, the Dome of the Rock, and several others I could mention, it does not mean that the future fulfillment will not happen, with a precision that will be utterly astounding.

Folks need to remember that the Prophecy stands as a witness to ALL generations, and to each one in their time. It proclaims that God IS God. The Great I AM.

I am completely certain that the Prophecy has not been inactive since Christ's ascension. There is no "lull," waiting on the completing week. It just hasn't been seen by the sophists, whose "replacement theology" has left them blind.

All roads lead to Jerusalem.

He didn't. Where does scripture say that The Messiah had to be a blood sacrifice?
