Since the mormon church sends out 60,000+ missionaries into the Christian world every day to convince them that mormonism is the only way to salvation, we find it worthwhile to do our small part on what is the largest, most conservative Christian forum on the internet by rebutting the fallacies put forth by LDS, Inc.
I wish it were as simple as you say, but already we have seen the fruits of our efforts in leading mormons to Christ right here on FR.
Luv it when you write that stark reminder.
Yes it is true that one has the duty to evangelize but wasting words is a waste of time. I think most people recognize Smith for what he was. At any rate God Bless.
(GF, BTW, "Brother Ballard" of Lds General Authorityville says the Brethren are now down to 53,000 Lds missionaries...according to informal fireside he gave @ BYU Rexburg almost a month ago...must be impacted by the economy...)
Aemelius, I'd suggest you read passages like the following if you don't think the flock is worthy to be protected against a few wolves, let alone 53,000!
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears. (Acts 20:28-31)
AP, if you did something night & day for 3 years as a warning, wouldn't you deem this activity as extremely important -- like the apostle Paul did?
