I do this... think about those who are just getting up on the other side of the world, think of those who have already gone to church that day, etc.
It is humbling. Great article!
I try hard not to think about them. I try to be cold as ice and detached from others. There is zero chance of us making a positive difference in the world and almost zero chance of God doing anything in the future. He hasn’t acted in any noticeable way in over 2000 years.
It is best to simply go through the motions (eat/sleep/work), focus on being uncaring, and wait for the curse of life to end.
I’m alone.
As long as those billions of other human beings know the Earth is revolving around me.
God is in everyone’s hearts and knows the inner life of everyone, better than anyone knows himself.
He is our best friend, eternal well-wisher, and has unconditional love for every soul. And even though He has absolute control, directly - personally, or indirectly - through His energies and potencies, He respects the free will He has given each and every soul.
Therefore we should respect that free will of others, even if they misuse it. Of course, we should also care about their wellbeing and tell the truth, even if unpalatable.
Happiness is in a loving relationship with Him; no other person, thing, or circumstance can ever fill the emptiness inside each person. A full heart can then have real compassion for others.
Everyone suffers, rich or poor, well or sick. All suffer and face death, when every attachments is ripped away. Without a relationship with God, death is a terrible thing. With a relationship with God, it is one door closing and another opening.
