Is it localized or widespread? There has been a large Muslim community in MI for quite some time now. However, I notice their communities are growing in other parts of the northeast.
The company I work for has actually shifted production and built new plants for this market. Mainly for Europe right now.
Also, there are pushes by various muslim groups in Iowa to have halal sections of the local grocery stores. Not much has happened, Iowan’s love the pork chops, but the trend is there.
