For the most part I would agree with you, but the phrasing you used gives me pause. Perhaps because I see James 1:5 misused so much.
Well yeah. . .I see your point. To me, trying to figure out what to do with a person displaying bad fruit in his or her life is a trial.:) Barry is diff. a trial to be endured, and if the Lord will throw in some "pure joy" in the midst of it, hey, I'm ready.
As for seeking direction in dealing with O's religious double speak, such matters are just easily discerned, RUN with great speed, the other way.
