we can start right here on FR to shame the bigots into mending their ways or taking their bigotry elsewhere

I agree. One of the things that seriously distresses me about FR - and actually once made me stop my contribution - is the foaming-at-the-mouth hostility to Catholics.

I think we all have more pressing dangers to worry about right now!

A nutjob to be sure, He thinks that the Catholic Church in his neighborhood is not connected and part of the Vatican and the hierachy of Catholics in the world?

Oh, dear. Trouble is, people will believe his half-truths.
