Show me a "Christian" who thinks Jews should convert and I'll show you an antisemite.

Very simple and very fundamental stuff.

That is not true. In fact, that's an absolute slur against Christians. And I'm actually of 100% Jewish descent on both sides (although agnostic). So I have credibility to call you anti-Christian.

There is nothing inherently anti-semitic about a Christian thinking a Jew should convert. That is part of the Christian religion. They believe that one can only come to heaven through Jesus Christ. Their belief is that the Jews had their own separate pathway to Heaven through good works and sacrifices, but once the temple was destroyed, the Jews could not sacrifice things anymore.

Therefore, they believe that the only way that Jews can reach heaven is through Jesus. That is not anti-semitic. They're not saying that Jews are bad people. If hell exists and Jews are there right now, I'm pretty sure that no true Christian would tell you that the Jews there are bad people. They simply made a mistake in not listening to other people about what they should do.

In fact, some would argue that the Christians who attempt to convert Jews are being anti-anti-Semitic, or pro-Semitic, rather. If Christians really didn't care an ounce about Jews, they'd tell themselves that the Jews could rot in hell for all they cared, and that they weren't going to bother trying to convert them. Isn't that what someone who didn't care about Jews would want?

You want to know who the real anti-Semites in this country really are? Most anti-Semites in this country are Muslims and/or Black, and those aren't mutually exclusive groups. The ADL did a study that stated that 12% of Americans hold anti-semitic beliefs. Only 9% of white Americans held those beliefs. ~33% of black Americans held those beliefs, if I remember correctly. I would bet you that the rate of anti-semitism among Evangelical Christians is <2%. It might even be <1%. Why?

Well, because from what I understand from talking to pastors at my school, the Jews are God's chosen people. If the Jews convert to Christianity, then they will become Jewish Christians and have a special place in the world to come. Not like royalty or anything like that, but let's just say that they'll be looked upon with favor by Jesus. Because Jesus was the Jewish man who created Christianity after all.

In sum, don't you think you're better off focusing your attention on the real anti-Semites? Like the Muslims here in America and in other places who have already stated that they WANT to kill us? They don't care if we convert to Christianity. They think we support a savage state (Israel) and they want to wipe us out. You want another anti-semitic enemy to be scared of? How about the white nationalists on the LEFT who are socialist in belief but believe that all non-white people should leave the United States. Guess what? They include Jews in that non-white group. The white nationalists have found common ground with the leftists because they both hate Israel and most of them hate Jews as well.

Not all of them are anti-semitic, but a good percentage KNOW that anti-semitism is NOT acceptable to teh general public but anti-zionism is at least partially acceptable discourse in our country. They can't come right out and say that they want to kill the Jews like Hitler did. So they couch their hatred in statements like "Well, Jews control the U.S. government because we give money to Israel, shouldn't we do something about that?" Then, iff the listener is receptive, they go on about how Jews control the financial system and the government and all other kinds of racist crap.

In short, you should be quiet. If you're Jewish then you're completely misguided in calling these people on this site anti-Semitic. Sure, I'm sure a small % are (like the Pat Buchanan lovers who don't see anything wrong with what he says), but the vast majority love Israel. 95%+ of those in the House and Senate who oppose Israel are Democrats.

The ADL is so far left that they have no credibility; in fact they will go farher to reach out to islam than to anyone to the right of Shimon Peres. Pull the other one.

So you're an agnostic Jew. And you still haul out your Jewish cred??

In short, you should be quiet.

Lol.

You are right, but I would add that true Christians are concerned that Jews (and non-Jews for that matter) are lost without Christ and without Him will be sentenced in Hell. I’m not sure what’s anti-Semitic (I know you’re not making that point) about praying someone is not sentenced to hell for eternity and will repent of their sins and put their trust in Christ.

True Christians especially love the Jews and Israel. It’s this love for them that there’s concern for their eternity. But it can’t be forced upon them or anyone for that matter.

Even Jesus in John 4:22 acknowledged that “...for salvation is of the Jews.”

Just for the record, my ancestors were Jewish.
