Thank You, ConorMacNessa, and May You have a Blessed Pentecost.
If I may share this little fact on Your Reply:
Along with Christmas and Easter, Pentecost is one of the Holiest Festivals on the Traditional Christian Calendar.
The "Lectionery", or Cycle of Readings for the Calendar Year, divides the year into the Sundays leading up to Christmas (Advent), The Sundays leading up to Easter (Lent),Pentecost, and the Sundays AFTER Pentecost. There are, of course, other Special Sundays, but the general outline is the same for Roman, Anglican, Eastern Rite, and Mainline Protestant Communions. Evangelicals are not as much into "Calendar Observances", as they tend to be less Liturgical in their Worship, but the IDEA of Pentecost is Still very Important to them.
Whatever one's background may be, Historically, Pentecost is a PIVOTAL Day in the Christian World-View.
And it all goes back to Shavuot!
Here is an interesting fact:
Back in the Days when the USSR was persecuting Christians, the Government referred to ALL Evangelicals, Baptists, Charismatics, "Born-Agains", and Bible Believers as:
"Pentecostals"
