DHARMSALA, India (AP) The question looms over this raggedy hillside town, a place where ancient mysticism constantly brushes against the realities of modern geopolitics. The monks who fled across the Himalayas ask it quietly, as do the exile politicians. Even the angry young activists are careful how they raise the issue.
But as the man at the center of the Tibetan exile movement approaches his 75th birthday, the question has become impossible to escape: What happens after the Dalai Lama dies?

One less Marxist
Putrefaction.

He is reborn as a rodent of some kind?.
I believe Mrs. Lama will take over.
He goes back to the island.
Tacky replies by most of you.
The Dalai Lama is a very good guy. One of the RARE religious leaders of other religions that has not put down Christianity and has infact praised it.
On top of it,he is very humble about himself. He has repeatedly said he does not think he is “holy” by any means. He is just another regular guy
This guy is pro-democratic
To call him Marxist is an evil thing to do considering that Marxists have killed half his nation. Literally half of all Tibetans have been killed or dissapeared since 1950
Considering that he is a religious guy, he places very little value on money (understandable) but he has never ever once advocated communism. He has in fact repeatedly stated he is for full personal property rights. Keep in mind, in his mind, money is nothing, God is everything. He could care less about YOUR money. Heck he could care less about HIS money
He is a great guy and one of the living examples of how religious leaders should be.
He will be sorely missed
i would hope they bury the body.
He’s got that going for him. Which is nice.
gunga galunga
Didnt they already pick Bobbie Hill?
The Lama in the past few weeks has called himself a Marxist. I guess that makes him evil... which is not nice.
He gets buried? I hope.
LOL!

Are you calling him evil??
“Still I am a Marxist,” the exiled Tibetan Buddhist leader said in New York, where he arrived today with an entourage of robed monks and a heavy security detail to give a series of paid public lectures.
“(Marxism has) moral ethics, whereas capitalism is only how to make profits,” the Dalai Lama, 74, said.

This is the reason for the “tacky” comments.
“What Happens When the Dalai Lama Dies?”
His soul burns in Hell for all eternity.
Consciousness in this context means “heat”
